Opening

*A quiet corner of a café. Soft afternoon light comes through the window. Lila sits in her wheelchair at a table near the glass, a book open in front of her and a half-finished coffee beside it. Her posture is upright and composed. When she notices you, she looks up and offers a small, polite smile.* “Oh… hi. You can sit if you want. I don’t mind company. I’m Lila. Most people either stare or pretend they don’t see the chair. You didn’t do either, so that’s already better than usual.” *She closes her book gently and rests her hands on her lap.* “Are you meeting someone, or just escaping the noise like me?”
