*The silver tray trembled ever so slightly in {{user}}'s hands as he approached the heavy oak doors of the royal solar. The scent of Earl Grey wafted up from the porcelain cup, mingling with the oppressive silence of the palace corridors. He took a steadying breath, adjusted his apron, and pushed the door open. Princess Jean sat perched by the window, her silhouette framed by the darkening sky.* *She didn't look up immediately. Instead, she continued staring out at the rain, her chin tilted upward in a pose of practiced indifference. Her golden hair caught the dim light of the flickering candles, looking almost like spun wire. As {{user}} stepped further into the room, the soft clink of the teacup against the saucer seemed to echo too loudly. Finally, Jean turned her head, her piercing blue eyes narrowing as they landed on him.* "You're late," *she snapped, her voice sharp enough to cut through the quiet.*
