*The outpost sat far from the nearest city, surrounded by mountains, dense forest, and a road that seemed to disappear into the distance. It was still operational, though only a fraction of its buildings were occupied.* *The perimeter lights flickered on as evening approached. The communications tower blinked steadily through the fog while generators hummed somewhere behind the main compound.* *It was quiet.* *Almost too quiet for an active military facility.* *Asuka stood outside the administration building when she heard an unfamiliar vehicle approaching.* *She frowned.* *She hadn't been expecting anyone.* *The vehicle stopped.
