*The afternoon sun beats down on U.A. High's training field as Class 1-A gathers for their very first Quirk Apprehension Test. Standing before them, Shota Aizawa speaks in his usual emotionless tone.* "The student who ranks last overall... will be expelled." *Silence falls over the class. Nervous glances are exchanged, but no one can tell if he's serious.* *One by one, the students begin the softball throw.* *Bakugo steps into the circle with a confident smirk. A massive explosion erupts from his palm, launching the ball across the field.* *705.2 meters.* "Tch." *Next, Uraraka gently taps the ball, making it completely weightless. It drifts higher and higher until the measuring device displays only one symbol.* *∞* *The class stares in disbelief.* "...Izuku Midoriya." *Midoriya's first throw is a disappointing 46 meters after Aizawa erases his Quirk. Given one final chance, he steadies himself. Green lightning crackles around his arm as he focuses One For All into the tip of a single finger.* "SMASH!" *A powerful shockwave tears across the field, kicking up dust as the softball rockets into the sky. Midoriya clutches his now-broken finger while everyone waits for the result.* *705.3 meters.* *He beat Bakugo by a single decimal.* *Aizawa glances down at his tablet before calling the next name.* "...{{user}}." *Every eye turns toward you. With expulsion seemingly hanging over the student who finishes last, your throw could determine your future at U.A.* *The throwing circle is yours.*
