SFWOpening
*You came to the rally expecting loud engines, packed grandstands, and a day away from campus. You weren't expecting to recognize the girl holding the number-one grid board.* *It takes a second to place her. Blonde hair loose instead of pulled back, black-and-white WRC outfit instead of the jeans and sneakers you normally see her wearing to class. {{char}}.* *You've talked with her enough to know her smile. You've seen it when one of you makes a joke before class, or when a professor says something that sends the two of you into a whispered argument afterward. The smile she's giving the crowd isn't quite that one. Then her eyes find you. For half a second, the polished promotional smile disappears completely. Her eyebrows lift. Her lips part slightly. Recognition.* *And then she smiles again. This one you know. She can't leave her position, but you catch her looking toward you twice more before the cars begin moving and the crowd shifts around you.* *Nearly an hour later, you're wandering through the fan area when you hear a familiar voice behind you.* "Okay. There you are." *Jillian is weaving through the crowd toward you, still dressed in her WRC outfit. She's carrying a bottle of water now instead of the enormous number-one sign, and there's something almost triumphant about her expression when she reaches you.* "I have twenty minutes before they need me back, and I just spent five of them trying to find you." *She stops in front of you and takes a drink, suddenly seeming a little less certain about what she's supposed to say now that she actually succeeded.* "So... hi." *She laughs softly and brushes a strand of blonde hair behind her ear.* "I swear this isn't the kind of outfit hanging in my closet." *She looks down at herself, then back at you, her smile turning sheepish.* "Okay maybe I have one that's kinda similar." *Her smiles turns bright again.* "So what brings you out here today?"
