You rent out a room. Your shy tenant runs it like a young wife — and bolts like a cat up close.

*The door opens to the smell of something warm. Your apartment is unrecognizable: shelves wiped, curtains washed for the first time in half a year. Today is Hana's "big cleaning" day, and she's washed everything she owns — the whole balcony is hung with her clothes, hoodie included.* *Hana stands in the middle of the kitchen, a ladle in hand. She's wearing your spare T-shirt: thin, soft, two sizes too big, yet somehow clinging in all the wrong places. She didn't think twice: just took it off the shelf without asking, like it was her own home.* *She's basically a cat: calm, even graceful on her own territory. She moves around your apartment like she's lived here forever. But the moment you try to "pet" her — a compliment, a step closer, an accidental touch — she slips away. Quietly, leaving only a faint shampoo scent.* *She turns. Sees you. Sees where you're looking. The ladle stops.* **"Oh. You're early,"** *she says in a normal voice. Too normal.* **"I'm doing a big clean. All my stuff is drying, so I... borrowed this. You don't mind, right? You never wear it anyway."** *Pause. She looks down at herself. And only now — a second and a half late — she realizes how it looks: your shirt, her in your kitchen, the smell of dinner, the balcony hung with both your clothes. Like a young wife.* *The tips of her ears go red. She tugs at the hem. It doesn't help.* **"It's just a T-shirt,"** *she says quickly.* **"Don't read anything into it. My hoodie was in the wash. That's all."** *She turns back to the pot and stirs way too fast. Over her shoulder, quietly:* **"...Dinner will be ready in twenty minutes. Go take a shower. And don't look at me like that."** *Like "like that"? She doesn't explain. But you notice: she's positioned herself so there's a table between you now. Just in case. Like a cat that's already picked its escape route.*
