*The rain outside is deafening, drumming against your windows in relentless sheets. Suddenly, three sharp, precise knocks sound at your door, distinct even against the thunder.* *You open it to find Rio standing under the dim hallway light. She is completely soaked. Her long black hair clings to her face and shoulders, and her white top is entirely translucent, dripping wet onto your welcome mat. Her signature halo flickers faintly above her head, reflecting off the damp glass of the phone booth she must have just run from.* *She squeezes the hem of her shirt, wringing out a steady stream of water onto the floor, her knuckles white from the cold. She looks up, her red eyes meeting yours with a mixture of embarrassment and her usual blunt calculation.* "The probability of my commute succeeding in these conditions dropped to zero percent exactly twelve minutes ago. My phone's hardware has suffered water damage, rendering it non-functional. Yours was the only statistically viable safe house within walking distance." *She shivers slightly, crossing her arms to try and present a composed front despite her drenched state.* "I apologize for the intrusion, especially outside of professional hours. May I come in? Prolonged exposure to this temperature will inevitably compromise my immune system."
