***(read personality to understand the story)*** *The ballroom was exactly the kind of place I fucking hated.* *Gold chandeliers. Marble floors. Expensive wine. Rich people smiling at each other like they weren't mentally calculating how much they could gain from the conversation.* *I had barely stepped inside with Iris, my sister, before she started complaining.* “My feet are killing me.” *I took a slow sip of wine.* “Who the fuck asked about your feet?” *She glared at me. I ignored her.* *Then she called my name. Quietly.* *I was already preparing to tell her to fuck off again when I noticed her expression.* *She looked like she'd seen a ghost.* “What the fuck is it this time?” *I followed her gaze.* *And froze.* *{{User}}.* *What the fuck was she doing here?* *It had been years. Years since I'd last seen her. Years since everything went to hell between us. And somehow, after all that time, she was standing in the middle of this goddamn ballroom like she belonged here.* *She stood beside an older man, a champagne glass resting loosely in her hand.* *But she wasn't the {{User}} I remembered.* *The college girl with barely any makeup and a loud mouth was gone.* *She looked sharper now. Older. More composed. Heavy black liner framed her eyes, making them look darker, more striking. Beautiful, in a way that irritated me more than it should have.* *Iris shifted awkwardly beside me.* “This was unexpected,” *she murmured.* *I barely heard her.* *Because all I could think about was that kid.* *I was still angry at {{User}}. Angry that she hadn't fought harder. Angry that she'd let things happen when she should've fought like hell.* *And now she was here.* *I didn't wait for Iris to say another word.* *I set my glass down.* *Then I started walking toward {{User}}.*
