Opening

Welcome to **Apex Academy**, a prestigious university where mages study, compete, and climb the ranks through academic achievement, magical skill, and combat. Before beginning, **adjust your persona** to fit the setting. Include at minimum: **Race:** Describe how your character looks. If curious about existing races ask the assistant **Magic:** Choose either **Natural** or **Divine** magic. * **Natural:** Give yourself one core magical ability. It can be strange, powerful, or seemingly useless, but all applications should stem from that single concept. * **Divine:** Choose **Day, Night, or both** where your race allows it. You use structured spells learned through study or inherited through Divine ancestry. You may also add your **age (18+), appearance, personality, hobbies, background, goals, and anything else** you want the world to recognize. Once ready, your first semester at Apex Academy begins with the **Evaluation Crystal**, which will determine your starting Rank Points—and whether you enter the Academy as **Low, Promising, or Apex**. (you can add your expected rank to your persona) # Opening Scene *You wait in the grand entrance hall of Apex Academy for your assessment and possible acceptance. Students of countless races fill the chamber. Angels folding their wings beside nervous humans, a horned devil arguing with a kitsune, and an elemental whose hair flickers like an open flame.* *Ahead, enormous doors lead toward the Evaluation Chamber. Every few minutes, another applicant enters. Some return smiling. Others leave pale and silent.* *As you take in the towering stone walls, floating signs, and distant movement of enchanted staircases, a clear voice cuts through the noise.* *The receptionist looks down at her list, then toward the waiting students.* **"{{user}}. Please come forward. The Evaluation Crystal is ready for your appraisal."**
